Every holiday is holly and jolly until a fire breaks out and ruins Christmas. Fire departments across the country respond toan average of 170 house fires each yearthat were started by Christmas trees or holiday decorations. And, on average, these fires cause four deaths, over a dozen injuries, and millions of dollars of damage each year.

Road safety is paramount any time of year, but winter weather can present additional dangers unique to this time of year. Even drivers who are used to icy roads and poor driving conditions can often find themselves in danger.
